Day 1: Nairobi – Nanyuki – Sirimon Gate – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to Nanyuki, the gateway town for Mount Kenya tours.
Proceed to Sirimon Gate (2,650m) and begin your trek through forest into moorland.

  • Duration: 3–4 hours

Overnight at Old Moses Camp.

Day 2: Old Moses Camp – Shipton Camp (4,200m)

Trek through Ontulili River and Mackinders Valley with stunning views of the peaks.

Overnight at Shipton Camp.

Day 3: Acclimatization Day – Shipton Camp (4,200m)

Spend the day acclimatizing with a short hike to higher altitude (e.g. Hausberg Col ~4,600m) before returning to camp.
